Figueroa Produce, a small, independent grocer in Highland Park, is carrying block Daiya vegan cheese, which they will slice to your specs! They also carry Follow Your Heart.
We got ours sliced paper thin. It is amazing. And the price? $6.99! A great deal!
They also sell it shredded.
Plus - a large organics section. Plus - two doors of refrigerated vegan items. Plus - they are about to carry vegan deli sandwiches to order.
They are friendly, super cool, and totally open to doing even more veganizing of their store. They are ready!
